Internet speed test

Test your internet speed instantly. Free download speed test with live Mbps meter — auto-starts when you open the page.

An internet speed test tells you how fast data travels between your device and the network. Services like Fast.com made this effortless: open the page, the test starts immediately, and a large Mbps number appears in seconds. Qikot's speed test follows the same philosophy — one focused screen, automatic start, and a prominent download speed readout measured against the our remote servers.

When the test runs, your browser opens three parallel download streams from our API. Each stream transfers roughly 1.5 megabytes of data while we calculate live megabits per second based on bytes received over elapsed time. Parallel connections help saturate your link similar to how consumer speed tests work, giving a more realistic estimate of the bandwidth available for streaming, downloads, and video calls.

After download completes, we measure upload speed by sending a one-megabyte payload to the server and timing the transfer. Latency is sampled with lightweight health checks before the download (unloaded) and estimated during the download phase (loaded). Expand \

to see all metrics — the same pattern used by Fast.com when you need detail beyond the headline Mbps number.

Results reflect your connection to our global network at test time. Wi-Fi interference, VPNs, other devices on your network, and ISP throttling can change outcomes between runs. If speeds are consistently below your plan, contact your provider with timestamped results. Qikot does not store test history; each visit runs a fresh benchmark with no account required.

Use this free internet speed test on desktop or mobile whenever you move offices, upgrade broadband, or troubleshoot buffering. Pair with our ping test for HTTP latency samples, HTTP header checker for CDN cache behavior, and uptime monitor to verify your sites stay reachable at any speed.
