Run a ping-style latency test from our servers. Four HTTP samples with min, avg, and max times.

Traditional ping uses ICMP echo requests, which hosted check platforms often cannot expose for security reasons. Qikot's ping test measures practical latency by sending four sequential HTTP HEAD requests from our remote servers to your URL, then reporting minimum, average, and maximum response times. This reflects real application-level reachability similar to how browsers and APIs connect over HTTPS.

Latency statistics help diagnose intermittent slowness that a single request might miss. High variance between min and max suggests unstable routing, cold starts, or competing load on shared hosting. Consistently high averages warrant investigation with speed test TTFB grades, CDN configuration, and origin capacity planning.

Use ping test after network changes, DDoS mitigation events, or geographic expansion to confirm endpoints respond within acceptable bounds from our servers. Combine with website down checker when users report timeouts — if ping fails entirely, the issue is likely connectivity, DNS, or server refusal rather than slow page assets.

Samples include brief pauses between requests to avoid burst patterns that some WAF rules flag. Results cache for two minutes. The speed meter visualizes final average latency when testing completes, color-coded for quick interpretation.

This is not a substitute for ICMP-based network operations tools inside your VPC, but for public HTTPS endpoints it delivers actionable latency data without installing software or creating accounts — ideal for freelancers, agencies, and small teams validating customer sites.
