Domain expiry is independent of SSL certificate expiry and hosting bills. A site can have valid HTTPS while the underlying domain is near expiration — all three timelines matter. RDAP coverage varies slightly by TLD and privacy settings. Most common gTLDs and many ccTLDs return expiration dates. If lookup fails, confirm the domain is registered and publicly queryable, or check directly with your registrar's control panel.
